Whether you enjoy fact or fiction, poetry or prose, creative writing is a great way to exercise your mind and stimulate your imagination.
Joining a writer’s group gives you the opportunity to make new friends. It also allows you to exchange ideas and receive feedback on your work from others who share your passion.
In turn, this improves your ability to communicate ideas in an effective and interesting way. This has many social and professional advantages.
Hammond House writers groups benefit from regular workshops by published authors. Other professionals also encourage the participation of people who are new to writing. There is even the opportunity to enter our writing competitions. You also have a chance for your work to be published in our annual anthologies.
Lincolnshire Writers is a Hammond House initiative. The initiative is supported by the Big Lottery Community Fund. The aim is to provide social, educational and employment opportunities to the people of North East Lincolnshire.
The initiative is an excellent one. I am proud to be a member of one of the groups; (Write Away). The meetings are as previously mentioned above, a great way to meet new people. Many have similar interests in the writing field. Perhaps more importantly though, they all have other varied interests. This makes for very interesting meetings.

Hammond House Publishing work with all the arts, including writing, music and TV production and they have their own news channel showcasing new and upcoming talent.
